Beta Glucan

Beta 1,3-Glucans are naturally occurring molecules considered to be potent activators of cellular immunity. They provide immune support by priming critical immune cells, promoting cell signaling, and providing nutrition and antioxidant properties. Here’s how they work: the gastrointestinal tract (gut) hosts most of the body’s immune cells, which carry out our internal defense mechanisms. When Beta-Glucans are absorbed inside the gut, they trigger a chain of events that facilitate the communication between immune cells. Signaling molecules activate other immune cells, and the activated immune cells target and destroy invading microbes and toxins.*
